Higher Ed WordPress Website Focused on Student Enrollment
CCA asked FIREANT to guide them in a complete overhaul of their websites in order engage users more effectively through guided student pathways, while also creating fresh brand experience and digital solutions to help them better tell their story.
Community College of Aurora offers both 2-year degrees along side striving to meet the needs of nontraditional students and community partners. To reach prospective students from undergraduates to adult learners, we created a website focused on providing a simplified user experience, updated messaging strategy that drives inquiries, increased applications, and increased enrollment of full time students.
The Challenge
CCA’s website was unruly and provided little structure or customizations. The old outdated message strategy and inaccurate information architecture made it difficult for students and faculty to find the information they needed. Legacy information was scattered throughout the site and content administration was difficult and limited.
The FIREANT Approach
FIREANT STUDIO completely re-envisioned CCA’s information architecture and messaging strategy to better align with their core audiences and make the content more approachable and oriented towards the prospectus student’s journey. They worked collaboratively across internal departments to make sure a full needs analysis was captured and addressed during the redesign.
FIREANT STUDIO conducted extensive message strategy, competitor analysis, UI/UX design, and user testing to ensure that the new website would meet the needs of all users.

FIREANT STUDIO created an easy-to-use content administration system and provided comprehensive training to CCA’s team of administrators.
Using the updated IA, FIREANT STUDIO produced a vibrant and approachable UI/UX to bring CCA’s story to life for potential students. They created an enterprise custom WordPress solution that is WCAG 2.1 AA accessible, responsive, and provides highly flexible layouts.
FIREANT STUDIO also implemented a multilingual solution to comprehensively support both English and Spanish language models, delivering on the promise of inclusion. They created an interactive mechanism to explore student pathways and programs, and removed 5,000 outdated pages to remove clutter and provide efficient access to the most important information.
